Submission for transport

1. Scan the barcode

The barcode on the address label can be scanned by bringing the package close to the scanner at the bottom of the control panel. The scanner starts automatically when the barcode is approached.

2. Select your box

GLS parcel boxes offer different box sizes according to the size of your parcel.

3. Insert the package and close the box
4. Confirm the insertion of the package on the display of the Parcel box

GLS will take care of the rest.

1. Sending a parcel without a label

After ordering a shipment via the GLS CZ mobile app or the web portal www.e-balik.cz, the sender will receive a PIN code for dispatch, which must be clearly written directly on the parcel.

Based on the PIN code, the parcel can only be sent via a GLS Box; it cannot be shipped through other types of drop-off points.

2. Select your box

3. Insert the package and close the box
4. Confirm the insertion of the package on the display of the box

The shipping label for the parcel will be with the courier who will collect the package from the drop-off location. Depending on the time the parcel is placed in the box, the courier will collect it no later than the next business day, and it will be delivered to the recipient within the standard transit time.

Tracking events will only appear once the parcel has been collected by the courier.

Sending parcels from GLS Points

All GLS points in the Czech Republic (GLS Parcel Shop, GLS Box, AlzaBox) can be used for not only convenient parcel pick-up, but also for submitting your parcel. You can order the transport online via GLS mobile app or on portal www.e-balik.cz/en.

A parcel can only be submitted to GLS Parcel Box with a valid GLS address label. If you do not have a label, you can easily create one at www.e-balik.cz.

If the box does not open even after selecting the box on the box control panel, try entering the instruction again. If the box still does not open, please contact our Technical support for GLS pick-up points, which is available on weekdays between 7:00 and 17:00 at +420 567 771 166 or parcelshop@gls-czech.com. Do not try to open the mailbox by brute force.

If the parcel does not fit in the box, do not try to force it in, close the box and select a more suitable size. If the GLS Parcel Box does not have a suitable loose box, use the GLS Parcel Shop.

Make sure that you are placing the package at the scanner, placing the entire barcode on the address label of the package and that you are placing it close enough. If you still can't scan, enter the full package number manually on the keypad. If unsuccessful, contact our technical support for GLS pick-up points, which is available on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at +420 567 771 166 or parcelshop@gls-czech.com.

If you do not have a forwarding contract with GLS, you can create an address label online without registering at e-Balík.

Packages with address labels created in all GLS shipping programs, including e-Package, MyGLS, GLS Online, can be placed in the GLS Parcel Box for shipment.

If the deposited parcel is picked up by the courier on the same day it was deposited by the sender, it will be delivered on the next working day in the Czech Republic. If the package is deposited after the courier arrives, the delivery date will be extended by one working day. Parcels sent abroad are delivered within the standard delivery times.

Only the recipient of the parcel receives information that the parcel has been collected by the courier.

Yes, the current status of the parcel can be tracked using the Track & Trace feature. After entering the package number, the history of the package is immediately displayed.

The deposit confirmation is displayed immediately after the package is placed in the box, no further confirmation is sent.
