We support the Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 goals for sustainable development at their General Assembly - the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The SDGs serve to ensure sustainable development, taking the three sustainability aspects of economy, social affairs and the environment into account.

A total of 169 sub-goals form a framework for action for states, companies and each individual. With our sustainability measures, the GLS Group makes a contribution to the SDG goals.

As part of our climate-neutral shipping, we not only use 100% green energy but also support two certified climate protection projects in India to promote renewable energies.

The logistics industry enables the availability of goods and has a significant impact on economic growth. Qualified employees are indispensable for this cause. That is why their education and training is just as important as their health and social security.

We take responsibility and commit ourselves to selected projects and institutions. In addition to nationwide campaigns, we particularly support regional initiatives.

Sustainable delivery concepts and zero- and low-emission vehicles are the core of modern, environmentally friendly and low-emission city logistics. That is why new technologies are very important to us.

In addition to the Code of Business Standard, the GLS Group has established a Supplier Code of Conduct. This includes relevant topics such as regulations on the environment, bribery and corruption.

We support a responsible use of resources. With our two-pillar model, we achieve reduction and avoidance of emissions and above that compensate emissions with the help of climate protection projects.

Protect terrestrial ecosystems and promote their sustainable use. With climate-neutral shipping, we support two projects in South America to protect forests with ClimatePartner.
